11 April 2016 220 candidates have applied for a place of study in the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance starting in September 2016. 24 candidates were admitted directly and 68 candidates were invited for the interview.

15 September 2015 39 students joined the new class of MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance.

10 March 2015 A new alumni club Zurich Quantitative Finance Alumni has been founded. The club is open to all alumni and active students of the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance (resp. MAS in Finance). The inauguration event took place on 12 March 2015.

31 January 2015 170 candidates have applied for a place of study in the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance starting in September 2015.

15 September 2014 32 students joined the new class of MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance.

01 September 2014 Dr. Martin Larsson, an alumnus of our program (he graduated in 2008), became Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematics of the ETH Zurich.

17 September 2010 Seventh graduation ceremony.
More than 150 guests attended the graduation ceremony (part of the Risk Day 2010) in the Aula of the ETH Zurich. The seventh group of the graduates of the program have received their diplomas. The special guest of the organizers was Dr. Pablo Koch-Medina, Head of Group Risk and Analytics from SwissRe and member of the Advisory Board of our program.

11 September 2009 Sixth graduation ceremony MAS Finance.
More than 150 guests attended the graduation ceremony (part of the Risk Day 2009) in the Aula of the ETH Zurich. The sixth group of the MAS Finance program has received their diplomas. The special guest of the organizers was Mr. Torsten De Santos, CEO at LGT Capital Management who addressed a talk.

Final approval of the official rules for the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance
The Board of Directors of the University of Zurich (Universitätsrat Universität Zürich) and the Executive Board of the ETH Zurich (ETH Schulleitung) have approved in their meetings held on 25 May 2009 respectively on 9 June 2009 the conversion of the MAS Finance into a specialized Master of Science program focused on Quantitative Finance. This is the first joint degree program on Master level between the two institutions.

The local TV station mentioned in their today news the conversion of the MAS Finance into a specialized joint degree MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance.

16 December 2008 New name, same high quality.
The Faculty of Economics, Business Administration and Information Technology of the University of Zurich and the Department of Mathematics of the ETH Zurich have agreed of converting the existing post-graduate program Master of Advanced Studies in Finance into a specialized joint degree program: the MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance.
The final appproval of the conversion and of the legal rules is subject of the final decision of the Board of Directors of the University of Zurich (Universitätsrat Universität Zürich) and of the Executive Board of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (Schulleitung ETH Zürich).

4 November 2008 The University of Zurich's unijournal writes on the introduction of a joint degree program MSc UZH ETH in Quantitative Finance (the article is available in German only).

More than 120 guests attended the graduation ceremony (part of the Risk Day 2008) in the Aula of the ETH Zurich. The fifth group of the MAS Finance program has received their diplomas. 19 July 2007 Annual Risk Day as part of ICIAM07 in Zurich.
The Center of Competence Finance in Zurich (CCFZ) organized in cooperation with the ETH Chair of Financial Mathematics (Prof. Freddy Delbaen) and with RiskLab an Industry Day within ICIAM.

More than 100 guests attended the graduation ceremony (part of the fourth annual plenary meeting of the CCFZ) in the Aula of the University of Zurich. 21 October 2005 Second graduation ceremony MAS Finance.
More than 150 guests attended the Risk Day 2005. The second group of 15 graduates of the MAS Finance program has received their diplomas. The special guest of the organizers was Mr. Raymond Bär, Chairman of the Board, Bank Julius Bär, who addressed a talk to the graduates of the MAS Finance program.

3 October 2005 A new class (the fourth) has started with 25 participants
The new class of our program has started with 25 participants (22 full-time, 3 part-time) having 14 citizenships.

1 November 2004 MAS Finance meets practitioners.
Today the Seminar "Current Challenges in Finance" will start. The seminar is intended to facilitate a direct contact of the MAS Finance participants of the class 2004 with practitioners working in the financial services industry.

15 October 2004 First graduation ceremony MAS Finance.
More than 150 guests attended the Risk Day 2004. The first 15 graduates of the MAS Finance program have received their diplomas. It is the first time that the University of Zurich and the ETH Zurich offer a joint degree for a postgraduate program.

15 April 2004 MAS Finance met SwissRe.
The participants in the Master program met Mr. Hans Peter Würmli, Head of Risk Controlling, and Ms. Sandra Forter, Senior Credit Risk Manager, who presented "Swiss Re's Enterprise Risk Management".

5 April 2004 MAS Finance met Steering Committee.
The meeting had as main aim the guidelines for writing a Master thesis.

2 April 2004 MAS Finance met Bank Julius Bär.

25 March 2004 Official Opening of the Center of Competence Finance in Zurich (CCFZ). More than two hundred guests from the Swiss financial and insurance industries, along with representatives and students from ETH and the University of Zurich, attended the opening of the CCFZ.
